Ranchi: In the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Class X) and ISC (Class XII), a total 16,180 students appeared in the ICSE examinations from state, comprising 8,297 boys and 7,883 girls. For ISC, 4,785 students, including 2,247 boys and 2,538 girls, appeared. The state's overall pass percentage stood at 98.78% for ICSE and 98.83% for ISC. A total of 130 schools in state presented candidates for the ICSE examinations, while 57 schools participated in the ISC exams.Girls outperformed boys in both streams. In the ICSE exams, girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.15%, while boys secured 98.43%. Similarly, in the ISC exams, girls recorded a pass rate of 99.05%, compared to 98.58% for boys.Among ICSE examinees, 8,167 boys passed with 130 declared unsuccessful, while 7,816 girls passed and only 67 were unsuccessful. For ISC, 2,215 boys cleared the exam with 32 failing, whereas 2,514 girls passed, and 24 could not qualify.In terms of special category performance, 528 Scheduled Caste students appeared in the ICSE exams, achieving a pass percentage of 98.48%. 2,750 Scheduled Tribe candidates recorded a 97.71% pass rate, and 4,287 OBC students achieved 99.18%. For ISC, 104 SC candidates passed with 97.12%, 825 ST candidates with 98.91%, and 539 OBC candidates secured a 98.70% pass rate.Shambhavee Jayaswaal of Loyola School, Jamshedpur, created history by scoring a perfect 100 percent in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education ( ICSE ) Class X board examinations, becoming the national topper. The ICSE Class X board examinations began on March 18 and concluded on March 27.Abhinav of Mount Carmel School, Ormanjhi, Ranchi, who secured an 99.4 percent, became the district topper of Ranchi. Nishita Raj and Manya Chaudhary, both students of Bishop Westcott Girls' School, Doranda, Ranchi, scored 99.2 percent, sharing the third position among the top performers in the state. Matching their scores, Abhishek Kumar and Ojaswini Agarwal from St. Thomas School, Dhurwa, Ranchi, secured 99.2 percent.The other toppers among the top five is Maria Nayab Fatima from Mount Carmel School, Ormanjhi, followed closely with 99 percent. From St. Thomas School, Dhurwa, Aditya Raj secured 98.60 percent, while Nabil Jami, Shivansh Shaurya Pathak, and Shaurya Verma each scored 98.40 percentSaurav Kumar Tiwari from Sacred Heart School, Chinaki, Daltonganj, also made it to the list of top scorers of top ten with 98.40 percent. From Don Bosco School in Gumla, Yashraj scored 98.40 percent. Lastly, Aditi Arya and Tanushree Kumari, both from St. Thomas School, Dhurwa, Ranchi, secured 98.20 percent.Nishita Raj credited her success to consistent study habits and minimal screen time, focusing especially on Maths and Science. Raj, said," I aspires to join IIT Mumbai and pursue research in Physics. Solving sample papers and clearing doubts promptly helped to score good marks. "In the class XII, Three students Swapnil Premchand, Anushka Oriya, and Tejaswini Joshi have topped in district in their respective streams.In the Science stream, Swapnil Premchand of St. Xavier's School, Doranda, secured the highest marks in the district with 95.75%. Close behind were Pragati Priya and Zoya Ali, both scoring 95.25%, representing St. Francis School, Harmu, and St. Xavier's School, Doranda, respectively.Anushka Oriya, also from St. Xavier's School, Doranda, topped the Arts stream with 98%, followed by Siuli Majumdar (97.25%) and Humaira (97%). In the Commerce stream, Tejaswini Joshi of St. Francis School, Harmu stood out wit 93.50%, becoming the district topper. Mahi Jain (93%) and Siddhi Aggarwal (92.50%), both from the same school, followed closely.
